Spreadex is perhaps best known for its financial trading but it also offers a sports betting service. Are you better off sticking to more recognisable sportsbooks? Or is Spreadex a sleeping giant in the industry? The Punters Page conducted a scrupulous Spreadex review to find out. Read on to discover how it fared.

Registration process
5 / 5

  • Simple two step process
  • Takes a matter of minutes to complete

Some players can be put off signing up to a new Brasil sportsbook due to overly complicated registration processes. There is no danger of this happening at Spreadex. Getting started with the betting site could not be easier with just two steps required.

To start the process you need to locate the ‘JOIN’ icon in the top right of the screen. Clicking on this will take you to step one of signing up.

Registration window on Spreadex

Here you will need to fill in your Name, Email Address, Country of Residence and Nationality, as well as selecting a Username and Password. When doing the latter we recommend including numbers and symbols for maximum security. When you are done, check the box confirming you are over 18 and click ‘CONTINUE’.

Spreadex Personal Details window

This will take you to the second and final step of the registration process. All that is required here is your Date of Birth, Phone Number and Address. You will also need to select a security question and answer in case you lose access to your account.

Overall, we could not find anything to complain about when signing up to Spreadex. The process was quick and easy, and we appreciated the emphasis on security.

Deposit and withdrawal options
2 / 5

  • Debit cards and cheques accepted
  • No e-wallets at all
  • No cryptocurrency

If you prefer to fund your sportsbook account with a debit card, you will have no problems doing exactly that at Spreadex. The operator accepts both VISA and Mastercard payments with both featuring a generous minimum deposit of just R$1. Unlike most of its competitors, Spreadex does not impose a maximum deposit limit.

Spreadex Payment Methods

As well as debit cards, bank transfer and cheques are also accepted by the online bookie. Unfortunately, this is where Spreadex’s banking options end. They do not accept any third party payments which rules out e-wallets like Skrill, Neteller and Paypal, as well as prepaid vouchers such as Paysafecard. Cryptocurrency is not accepted either.

Because of this payments may take slightly longer than you are used to at other sportsbooks. When using a debit card to withdraw the funds are likely to appear in your account within 2-5 days, while bank transfer should be slightly quicker.

While it is disappointing to find some popular payment missing from Spreadex, it is not the end of the world. As the operator accepts the most widely used methods, you will likely have no problems funding your account.

Welcome Offer
4.5 / 5

  • Place a R$25 bet and get R$25 free
  • Credited as five 40 R$ free bets
  • Great for when there is a lot of big sporting events coming up

With so many different sportsbooks vying for your custom, operators need a way to stand out from the crowd. Many try to do this by offering an enticing welcome bonus.

Welcome Bonus

Spreadex is no different and we enjoyed spending their generous sign up bonus during our review. To trigger the promotion you need to place a bet at odds of 1/2 or higher. Once that is settled you will be rewarded with a series of free 40 R$ bets on consecutive days. The amount of free bets you get depends on the size of your qualifying wager.

  • Qualifying bet 40 R$ to R$9 = 1 x 40 R$ free bet.
  • Qualifying bet R$10 to R$14 = 2 x 40 R$ free bets.
  • Qualifying bet R$15 to R$19 = 3 x 40 R$ free bets.
  • Qualifying bet R$20 to R$24 = 4 x 40 R$ free bets

If you fail to use your free bet before the end of the day you will lose it, so make sure you plan ahead. To make the most of this generous sign up offer we recommend only activating it when there is a busy schedule of sport to come. It is no good having a 40 R$ free bet if there is nothing to bet on.

In summary, there is a lot to like about the Spreadex sign up offer. It is easy to understand and claim. In addition, if you time it correctly it holds the keys to plenty more betting fun.

Sportsbook promotions
4 / 5

  • Many extra promotions to choose from
  • Refer a friend system
  • Lack of formal Loyalty service is a shame

At the time of our Spreadex review we were blown away by the incredible selection of additional promotions available at Spreadex sportsbook.

Whether you prefer fixed odds or spread betting there are plenty of ways to be rewarded at Spreadex. One of the sportsbook’s most popular schemes is Refer and Earn. With this you can be rewarded simply for spreading the word about the company.

Spreadex Refer and earn

When a friend signs up to Spreadex get them to mention your name and post code when they have their Welcome Call from the accounts team. They then need to place five sports spread bets (R$2 minimum stake) and you will be rewarded with a R$100 free spread bet that can be used on the Total Goals market.

This is just one of many great promotions you can expect from Spreadex.

VIP/Loyalty Service

Unfortunately Spreadex does not yet offer a formalised sportsbook VIP/loyalty scheme. This is not too much of a problem, though. The huge amount of promotions on offer mean that there will always be a bonus on the horizon to keep you engaged.

Pre-match Offer
4.5 / 5

  • One of the only Brasil sportsbooks to offer spread betting
  • Huge amount of different sports markets to choose from
  • Deep selection for majority of sports

Spreadex’s pre-match offer is excellent. Odds can easily be changed into fractions, decimals or American formats and seeing which wagers you have outstanding could not be easier.

Of course, a betting site is only ever as good as its sports selection. In total, Spreadex offers over 20 different sporting markets. Mainstream choices such as football, tennis and horse racing are all here, but there are also many less well-known options. For instance, we tried out Aussie rules, table tennis and volleyball betting for the first time during our review.

In the vast majority of these sports, the submarkets are deep. For football common bets such as first goalscorer, under/over goals and Asian handicap are here. However, there is plenty more on offer as well. We particularly enjoyed the #NameIt bets. These are unique wagers you will only find at Spreadex.

Spreadex Player markets

Before recommending any sportsbook for odds, we always make sure to check the overround of several markets. Essentially, this is a measure of house edge. When we did this we happily discovered that all of the operator’s odds seem extremely competitive when compared with other sportsbooks.

Aside from all of these fine fixed-odd pre-match markets, Spreadex is also one of the only Brasil sportsbooks to offer spread betting. If you have not heard of this, never fear. All you need to do is read The Punter Page’s in-depth guide to spread betting and you will be ready to go.

Spreadex Popular Markets

As it specialises in this form of wagering, you will not be surprised to hear that Spreadex does it extremely well. It is easy for novices to pick up the practice with spread betting available on the overwhelming majority of the sportsbook’s markets.

As eSports is one of the fastest growing markets in the world, it is vital that operators offer a good betting service for all the biggest tournaments.

Spreadex understands this and always covers the most popular eSports events worldwide. Over the course of our testing period we discovered markets for several CS:GO, League of Legends and Call of Duty tournaments and that only scratches the surface of what you can expect during the year.

Other Specials

If you want a refreshing break from sports and eSports betting there are plenty of other markets to sink your teeth into at Spreadex.

There is plenty of Politics betting available with the site taking bets on the next Labour and Conservative leader at the time of our Spreadex review.

Cashout & Bet Builder

Cashout can be used on almost all of Spreadex’s pre-match markets. The amount updates in real time, ensuring you always get the fairest price possible.

Creating your perfect betting slip also could not be easier. Spreadex’s Bet Builder feature can be used on most markets, allowing you to tailor your experience exactly to your needs.

Live Offer
4 / 5

  • Hundreds of live markets to choose from
  • Some great live streaming options
  • Dynamic, competitive odds

Much like in pre-match offering, Spreadex’s live betting options are some of the best we have come across. 20 different sports are available for in-play bets and the odds are updated constantly depending on what is happening in the game.
Following events that you are betting on is made easy by the in-depth statistics that Spreadex provides. Regardless of the sport the operator consistently goes the extra mile, offering many different stats that help you to make an informed decision.

Another great addition is live streaming. Although not every market is broadcasted for bettors, horse racing, tennis and greyhounds can all be watched on the betting site. Spreadex also has rights to broadcast the Bulgarian football league.

Spreadex live streaming

Even if they are not showing the event themselves, Spreadex makes every effort to allow its players to watch the action by providing information on where it is available to view in the United Kingdom and abroad.

5 / 5

  • Fully licensed by the BrasilGC
  • SSL encryption
  • Committed to safer gambling

Whenever we conduct a bookmaker review we are always sure to verify each sportsbook’s security and licensing credentials. When we did this for Spreadex, we were impressed with what we found.

It is licensed to operate by the Brasil Gambling Commission under account number 8835. The BrasilGC is one of the most scrupulous regulatory bodies on the planet and their licenses are only being granted if a sportsbook adheres to their high standards. In short then, while playing at Spreadex you can be sure that you are using a fair and secure service.

Further adding to the operator’s top quality security credentials is SSL encryption. Whenever you are involved in a financial transaction on the site, your details are protected with this industry leading technology.

Spreadex is also committed to safer gambling. If you request, the operator will impose deposit limits on your account, while there is also considerable material on how to avoid unsafe practices on their website.

Service and customer support
4.5 / 5

  • 24/7 support
  • Many ways to get in contact
  • Responsive and courteous staff

Good customer service in the cornerstone of any good business and sportsbooks are no different. Whenever we had a problem, Spreadex was more than happy to help. Regardless of how we got in contact with the operator we always received a warm greeting followed by some helpful advice.

Spreadex Live Chat

For most queries your first port of call should be the live chat. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The ‘LIVE CHAT’ icon is always available on the bottom right of the screen regardless of where you navigate on the site. Due to this, help is never more than one click away.

If you prefer not to use the live chat, Spreadex can also be contacted via email on [email protected]. For those who prefer to speak to someone, there is a telephone support line available on 01727 895 000.

Your options do not end there either. If you ever need to send something by post the required Freepost address is:

Freepost RRRS-GTBG-HGZB, Spreadex Ltd., Churchill House, Upper Marlborough Road, St Albans, Hertfordshire, AL1 3UU.

Design & Usability
4 / 5

  • Innovative site design
  • Simple but effective aesthetics
  • Navigation is a breeze

Spreadex Portal

As soon as you load up the Spreadex website you will notice how well it is laid out. It is clear that usability was the central aim of the design process, with the various submenus and search functions making navigation a complete breeze.

We also appreciated the laid back colour scheme. There is nothing overpowering here with only grey, off-white, black and red used. This, combined with the well sized icons, make everything on the site extremely legible.

Placing the most popular sports markets in a banner on the top of the site is another solid decision that further increases the usability of the site.

5 / 5

  • App available on both Android and iOS
  • Optimised for the smaller screen
  • Does not sacrifice performance

Sports betting on the go is becoming increasingly popular. Therefore, having a high-performing sportsbook app on your phone is important.

Spreadex offers its players exactly this. The app can be downloaded for free on both the Google Play Store and App Store, so whether you are team Android or team Apple your needs are met.

Spreadex Sports Betting App

The app makes sure not to sacrifice performance on the smaller screen. All of the features and markets on the website can be accessed, with everything optimized for the smaller device. We really enjoyed exploring the sportsbook on our phone and tablet during our review.

Other Products

  • Financial trading available
  • Online casino
  • Virtual sports

Spreadex is not only known as spread betting specialists. They are also synonymous with making financial trading accessible for the masses. If this is your sort of thing, this part of Spreadex’s portfolio can be accessed on the website but you will need to download a separate app to explore on your phone or tablet.

Spreadex has an online casino as well. This features some of the best online slots around such as Gonzo’s Quest, Starburst and many titles from the highly rated MEGAWAYS series. There is no live casino, though.

Spreadex Casino Portal

Rounding off Spreadex’s other products is virtual sports. Using cutting edge simulations, punters can bet on virtual football matches, with a range of markets available. This means that the fun can continue even when there is a break on the sporting calendar.

You may think of Spreadex as a financial trading platform first and foremost, but you should consider giving in sportsbook a try. Across the board the operator manages to compete with the industry’s big hitters, offering a generous sign up bonus, varied markets and plenty of other advantages. It has definitely earned The Punters Page’s seal of approval.
